Sinjajevina is Montenegro's largest mountain plateau — a vast upland of karst meadows, shepherd's huts, and highland pastures at 1,400–1,900 metres, stretching between Žabljak, Mojkovac, and Kolašin. Long used as summer grazing ground by local shepherds who bring their flocks up from the lowlands each spring, Sinjajevina has in recent years become one of the most debated landscapes in Montenegro's environmental discourse, and remains one of the most remote and atmospheric highland environments in the Balkans.
