Rozaje is Montenegro's easternmost highland city — a Bosniak mountain town in the upper Ibar valley at 900 metres altitude, with a strong traditional character, quality mountain air, and a growing reputation as a winter destination around the Hajla ski resort nearby. The city centre has several hotels, restaurants, and a traditional čaršija (bazaar quarter) that reflects its Ottoman heritage.
Rozaje is the most important gateway between Montenegro and Kosovo — the Kula / Jablanica border crossing 30 km south of the city is the main road connection between the two countries. Beyond the border, the road descends through the spectacular Rugova Canyon to Peć/Peja, 50 minutes from the crossing. TTM picks up from any Rozaje hotel or address and covers the full Rozaje–Prishtina corridor.
